Khammam: District Congress Committee spokesman Puvvalla Durga Prasad on Friday alleged that caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekar Rao is trying to threaten the Congress party leaders by slapping false cases and provoking the officials of IT department to conduct raids on them illegally.

A meeting of OBC leaders of Congress party under the leadership of OBC-cell chairman Puchhakayala Veerabhadram was held at Sanjeeva Reddy Bhavan in Khammam.

Addressing the meeting, P Durga Prasad alleged that the TRS party which has failed utterly in fulfilling the promises that are made in 2014 Assembly elections has dissolved the government before nine months of time.

Unable to digest the Congress party’s strengthening day-by-day in all districts and panicked over the formation of the grand alliance, the TRS is sensing defeat in the upcoming elections. Therefore to create panic among Congress leaders the caretaker government is trying slapping false cases and carrying out illegal raids, he observed.

“It is the time to put an end to the KCR family rule, all the Congress leaders and party workers must strive for strengthening of the party from village level to teach the TRS party a fitting lesson in the ensuing elections,” he appealed.

Later, Gajelli Venkanna was been appointed as the district vice-president of the OBC-cell along with Chandragani Nagesh as secretary and Bandi Nageshwara Rao as secretary of the Raghunathapalem mandal unit.

Among the Congress leaders who attended the meeting include Md. Tajuddin, Md.Fazal, M Sheka Goud, Chota Babu, Pradeep, Nagabhushanam, Venkataiah, Saidulu, Vijay, Narasimha Rao, Harinath, Nagesh, Ramanatham, Chandram, and Satish and others.
