Hyderabad: A group of private schools gave a representation to the Commissioner and Director of school education, Government of Telangana regarding private recognised schools request to exempt from submission of NOCs for granting ETRs to existing recognised schools-registration.

They said that our school is recognised by the Govt of Telangana and it was established long back as per the then rules. But now for extension of temporary recognition (ETR) the department is insisting on the submission of fire NOC, Traffic NOC & GHMC NOC as mandatory. These rules came into existence after the establishment of our school.

For fire NOC there should be 20 feet free space all around the school building, which is practically not possible in a thickly populated locality like ours Similarly, the rules imposed to get GHMC & Traffic NOCs can't be satisfied by the existing recognised schools, due to these stringent rules thousands of budget private schools will close down, thousands of teachers and others will lose jobs and lakhs of students will forego their affordable schools and become out of schools.

They also said that they requested to kindly look into the grass root realities sympathetically and exempt our school from the above NOCs and issue orders to the concerned for granting ETRs to the existing Recognised schools.
