CPM leader Y Vikram on Wednesday demanded the government to reduce skyrocketing fuel prices which are touching Rs 100 per one liter of petrol and Rs900 for one gas cylinder
Khammam: CPM leader Y Vikram on Wednesday demanded the government to reduce skyrocketing fuel prices which are touching Rs 100 per one liter of petrol and Rs.900 for one gas cylinder.
The party workers burned an effigy of the Narendra Modi here in front of the Saritha Clinic Centre in Khammam. Speaking on the occasion, Y Vikram said even after several agitations and dharnas by the opposition parties and various people’s organizations, the BJP at the centre and TRS government in the State are behaving stubbornly and are not taking any measures for reducing the petrol, diesel and LPG prices.
With the increase of petrol and diesel prices the prices of daily commodities and vegetables are also increasing which in turn becoming burden on poor and middle class people, he added.
He demanded the government to take immediate steps and reduce the fuel prices. Otherwise the people would teach a fitting lesson to both BJP and TRS government, he warned.
Meanwhile, the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of various auto unions announced that they are going to observe bandh on October 6 in the district in protest against the increased prices of petrol and diesel.
