A giant and old elephant of the Nehru zoo in Hyderabad has celebrated her 80th birthday with the zoo officials on Saturday
We have come across many of the pet animals celebrating their birthday by cutting a cake. But here, a giant and old elephant of the Nehru zoo in Hyderabad has celebrated her 80th birthday in the presence of zoo officials on Saturday.
A photo of the elephant cutting the plum cake has caught the attention of the audience who began praising the zoo officials for the celebrating the event in grandeur.
It is also worth mentioning here that Rani's 80th birthday coincided with 55th-anniversary celebrations of the zoo.
According to the public relations officer, Anif, the elephant was gifted to the zoo by the then Nizam of Hyderabad when the zoo was opened in 1963.
As the picture Rani cutting cake has gone viral on social media, Anif explained that it was not the first time celebrating the animals birthdays in the zoo. "As we don't have the birth dates of the animals, we celebrated it on the date they were brought to the zoo," Anif added.
