Police arrest 13, seize 15 kg of ganja

Adilabad: Mancherial and Godavarikhani police on Tuesday arrested 13 persons on a charge of transporting ganja. The police claimed to have seized 15.3 kg of ganja from arrested men. The police also conducted counselling for 139 youth who were addicted to ganja.
According to Ramagundam Police Commissioner Satyanarayana, the accused are Angothu Ramu, Alimekar Shyam and Md Rasool, besides 10 others.
Acting on a tip-off, the Task Force Police along with Mancherial and Godavarikhani police and four action teams under the leadership of Assistant Commissioner of Police Rakshita K Murthi arrested 13 persons and seized 15.3 kgs ganja, the Police Commissioner said. He appreciated the work done by Assistant Commissioner of Police and the Mancherial and Godavarikani police.
Mancherial DCP M Venugopal Rao, DCP Peddapalli T Sudarshan Goud, Additional DCP Administration S Ashok Kumar and ADCP Ravikumar, ACP Godavarikhani Rakshita, ARACP Sanjeev, ACP CSP Polu Ramesh Babu, ACP Trffice Venkateshwar Rao AR ACP Nagendrudu and others were present.
