Khammam: Commissioner of Police Tafseer Iqbal on Friday inaugurated eight patrolling vehicles which were allotted to four police stations under Commissionerate limits in Khammam. Speaking on the occasion, Tafseer Iqbal said that with an aim to improve law and order and prevent the crime alongside providing better and fast service, eight Innova vehicles are allotted to four police stations.

To each patrolling vehicle as many as six trained police constables are allotted. Two constables will be available always through shift system. CC cameras, geo-tagging, GPS systems were installed in the vehicles which are interlinked to the Command Control Centre, he informed.

The vehicles which were allotted must be utilised only for patrolling purpose and must follow as per the prescribed ABC plan, that is at what time and in which region patrolling was done is mentioned in the plan and concern police constables must follow the same along with conveying the information time to time to higher officials through cell phones, ordered the Police Commissioner Tafseer Iqbal.

The Khammam Town ACP’s Venkatrao, Sathyanarayana, Ramanujam, Circle Inspectors Thirupathi Reddy, Ramesh and Narendar Kumar, Sampath Kumar, Shiva Ramaiah and Reserve Inspector Nageswara Rao and others were present.

Patrolling vehicles will enable the officials of the Police department to render their services better and fast observed the Commissioner of Police Tafseer Iqbal here on Friday.
