Malakpet: Assistant Commissioner of Police Dr M Chetana, along with SHO G Nagaraju and SI Rajasekhar, visited New Age Welfare Society (NAWS) at Kaladera in Malakpet and gave away appreciation letters and prizes to meritorious students on the occasion of Children's Day. Speaking on the occasion, Chetana said that everyone in the society should care for the parentless and the single-parent children. NAWS provides food, education and shelter to street children.

The society runs a residential home for girls to provide food, shelter and education. It has a trained cook, teachers and care takers. Utmost care is given for better upbringing of children who lack parental care and who are oppressed by the community, informed the organisers.
