Hanamkonda: District Congress Committee (DCC) President Naini Rajender Reddy, who is contesting from Warangal West constituency, appealed to people to give him an opportunity to serve them. After taking out a massive rally with his followers from 1,000 Pillars Temple to Press Club here on Thursday, he accused the TRS government of neglecting Warangal city.

“Even though Warangal was included in the Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana (HRIDAY) in 2014 and was chosen for Central Government’s Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) in 2015, in addition to the Smart City Cities Project, the rulers failed to develop infrastructure in the city,” Reddy said.

He assured the people of presenting progress report every year if he was elected to the Assembly. “Not even single paisa will be wasted,” he said, assuring accountability and transparency. Reddy appealed to people not to be lured to the money offered to them.

“Even though my party didn’t give ticket for Warangal West, I still have faith in my leadership. The Congress leadership should protect its cadres from the offensive of the ruling TRS,” he said.

Reddy said that he don’t mind if there is any better candidate than him to contest from West seat. “I have waited enough. Now I am not ready to wait another five years. my followers are my high command if the leadership ignores my candidature,” Reddy said.

Senior leaders Katla Srinivas Rao, EV Srinivas Rao, B Arogyam, Vijaya Rama Rao and Modem Sridhar Goud were among others present.
