Khammam: District Collector RV Karnan on Thursday ordered the electoral officers to conduct the EVM commissioning process perfectly in view of Assembly elections.
A one-day training programme was organised for he electoral officials about how to conduct the EVM’s commissioning process here at Technical Training and Development Centre (TTDC) in Khammam.
Participating as a chief guest, Karnan gave necessary suggestions to the officials about measures to be taken at the time of conducting EVM’s commissioning process.
The Collector ordered the electoral officials to take necessary precautionary steps during the process of linking of Control Unit, Ballot Unit and VVPATs and while displaying the list of voters after checking it thoroughly.
The electoral officials must inspect whether booth level agents are distributing the photo voter slips to the voters by visiting their houses or not and must take steps to complete the process of distribution of voter slips by December 1, he ordered.
The Master Trainer of EVM’s commissioning process and nodal officer Sri Ram explained about the EVM’s commissioning process through power point presentation to the electoral officials. The Paler, Madhira, Wyra and Sattupalli electoral officials attended the one-day training class.
