Trainee civil servants celebrate India Day
The trainee civil servants at Dr MCR HRD Institute of Telangana organised India Day with gaiety and fervour, with a view to showcase culture, customs, arts crafts, and cuisine of the diverse regions of the country and help build pride among people in the countrys rich heritage
Hyderabad: The trainee civil servants at Dr MCR HRD Institute of Telangana organised ‘India Day’ with gaiety and fervour, with a view to showcase culture, customs, arts & crafts, and cuisine of the diverse regions of the country and help build pride among people in the country’s rich heritage. Besides over 300 trainee civil servants, the event was graced by B P Acharya, Special Chief Secretary & DG, Dr MCR HRD Institute, and other dignitaries Dressed in their unique traditional attires of various States, all the trainee civil servants, who were looking dashing in their own right, not only created a captivating spell but also converted the campus of the Institute into mini India.
The trainee civil servants took out a colourful procession from the Godavari Residency to Administrative Block and culminated at Ramadasu Rangasthali Lawns. They gave into the festive mood of the occasion and danced to the rhythmic beats of the drums and electrifying musical band.The contingent of officers from Maharashtra, mounted on horseback and led by their leader dressed as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, was the highlight of the procession.
The trainee civil servants presented a feature-rich cultural programme, which included energetic folk dances and glorious songs from North East, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Haryana, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, UP, Punjab, Rajasthan, etc. The dazzling display of colourful costumes and unique jewellery from across the country captured the hearts of one and all and also left them awestruck. In addition, the trainee civil servants rendered hit songs in Hindi, Tamil, Bhojpuri, and Malayalam, recited poetry, presented costume-play dealing with such social issues as ‘Beti Padhao; Beti Bachao’ and received multiple rounds of standing ovations.The spectacular talent of the trainee civil servants not only uplifted the mood of the audience but also ignited the air with the magic of unity of India in the diversity of its cultures.
