Sircilla: TRS working president and Sircilla MLA K T Rama Rao here on Wednesday thanked the party leaders and activists for the success of the party in the elections.

KTR was given warm welcome during this visit to Sircilla. He paid tributes to Mahatma Gandhi statute. Speaking at a meeting at a private function hall, KTR assured the people that he would ensure all-round development of Sircilla.

“I will ensure that potable water is supplied to every village in the district,” he said. He said the innovative schemes being implemented in the State under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao are being replicated in many States. Rythu Bandhu is a unique scheme. He said Kaleshwaram project would be completed under any circumstances.

He stressed the need to extend the Rythu Bandhu scheme across the country for the welfare of the farming community. The Congress and BJP-led governments had failed to go to the rescue of the farmers who are in distress. He was asked to shoulder the responsibility of strengthening the party further to facilitate KCR to pay a key role at national-level.

He promised to ensure that railway line is laid to Sircilla district within three years. The district will be moulded into a model district, he said. He regretted that the government could not distribute Bathukamma sarees during the festival time as the Opposition created hurdles. A total of 94 lakh Bhatukamma sarees will be distributed in the district to all eligible women, he said.
