Uttam Nagar: Road under bridge (RUB) has also become a pathway for domestic animals. Along with vehicles animals are also using RUB in Uttam Nagar. “There is lot of traffic congestion because of cows and buffaloes. They come onto the road in groups and walk slowly. Every morning we are in a hurry to reach office and these animals block the roads.
Action should be taken on the people who bring animals into RUB. It is built for public and not for animals,” said Shiva Sankaran, a daily commuter. “RUB was built to overcome the problems faced by the commuters who travel through railway crossing at Safilguda. It was the much-needed relief for the motorists. Number of vehicles that use RUB is already high and these animals block the road which results in more congestion. I’m getting late to office every day,” said Archana. “Apart from traffic congestion we also fear that accidents may also occur because of these animals. They shouldn’t be allowed onto the road.,” she added.
