Jammikunta: Huzurabad MLA-elect Eatala Rajender expressed ire against the officials of various departments and ward councillors of Jammikunta municipality for neglecting to solve various issues of the people. He held a review meeting with the officials of various departments and ward councillors in Jammikunta on Friday.

Though the government had invested crores of rupees, entire Jammikunta town is dirty looking and there are heaps of garbage at every corner, he said. The people are facing health issues due to the unhygienic conditions in and around Jammikunta town. The municipal administration utterly failed in solving the people’s issues, Rajender pointed out.

Stating that about Rs 25 crores funds were in the banks, Rajender told the municipal administration to take immediate steps for completing the pending development works and to maintain surroundings clean and neat. Later, he inspected various construction works under progress in Jammikunta town. He inspected the construction works in the government land of survey no. 887 in Maruthi Nagar and enquired the officials about the details.

Responding to the reports about a few illegal construction works, Rajender ordered the officials to stop the constructions and take action against the persons, who encroached the land present in survey no 887 in Maruthi Nagar and to construct fencing surrounding the land.

He also inspected Naini Cheruvu mini tank bund works, which are in progress and found fault with the officials for carrying out the works at snail’s pace and ordered them to speed up the works and complete them at the earliest.
