Hyderabad: New Year 2019 was celebrated at Dr MCR HRD Institute with enthusiasm. The officers, faculty, staff, and trainees participated in the festivities. B P Acharya, Special Chief Secretary & DG of the institute, attended as the chief guest and cut a cake.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Acharya said that while celebrations on the occasion of the New Year were important in their own right, more attention should be given to reflecting and taking stock of one’s successes and failures on his professional and personal fronts in the previous year. He stated that setting challenging goals to be achieved in the New Year in the light of the experiences of the previous year is the right career strategy. He underlined the importance of doing one’s job with passion and touching higher levels of excellence.

“Continuous learning and thereby improving the quality of job performance are sine qua non for sustaining and accelerating the growth trajectory of Telangana as well as that of the country at large”, he added. On the occasion, Acharya released the colorful calendar of 2019, brought out by the Outsourced Employees Welfare Association of Dr MCR HRD Institute of Telangana. K Natraj, president of the association was present along with other office-bearers and members of the association. The staff of the Centre for Human Security Studies presented a book entitled, 'International Security,' to BP Acharya.
