Jeedimetla: A GHMC Park lies isolated next to Meenakshi Courts in Jeedimetla Village. The park has a compound wall and nice greenery, but it lacks a proper pathway for children and adults to go to the park.
The park is also not equipped with climbers, crawl Tubes or merry-go-rounds for children to play. All the equipment and the parkway were promised by the municipal authorities on the first day of the opening of the park.
One of the residents said that they lodged a complaint about the situation at the park to the municipal authorities, but no action has been taken, so far. This park has become very isolated because no one visits the park, especially kids, because of lack of playing equipment. In spite of having a park, the children cannot play in the park because of lack of proper facilities.
The park has become the place for stray animals, and if no action is taken, the park will become a dump yard. So, the municipal authorities should find some solution to solve the problem in the locality.
