Inviting a foreign country to showcase its literature, art and culture is a unique feature of HLF. China will be in focus at HLF 2019. A delegation of Chinese delegates will be present at HLF to mark their participation in different literature events such as panels, stage talks, workshops, poetry sessions and presenting films.

A Lai, Rong Rong, Ge Shuiping, Bei Ta, Guan Renshan and Sarah Li are some of the big poets, novelists, writer and photographers, who are going to speak at HLF this year! A Lai is a poet, essayist, novelist, and president of Sichuan Provincial Writers Association and winner of Mao Dun and Lu Xun literature prizes. Rong Rong is a poet and Chief Editor of Literary Port magazine, and President of Ningbo Principal Writers Association.

He is also the winner of Lu Xun literature prize. Ge Shuiping is a writer, actor, and winner of Lu Xun literature prize. He is the vice president of Shanxi Provincial Writers Association.
Bei Ta is a poet and translator of Tagore’s poems into Chinese, and General Secretary of Chinese Shakespeare Society and Vice General Secretary of World Congress of Poets. Guan Renshan is a novelist, screen and script writer, and is the winner of 5th Lu Xun literature prize. Sarah Li is a photographer, filmmaker and founder of Fazed Pictures. She is also the Director of 'Shanghai Dry', a movie will be shown at HLF this year.
