Karimnagar: Heavy rains for the past three days had damaged various crops in Karimnagar district. unseasonal rains have destroyed maize, vegetable and other crops in about 16 villages in Gangadhara, Choppadandi, Ramadugu and Manakondur mandals.

District agriculture department officer Vasireddy Sridhar said as many as 330 farmers had lost their crops in Karimnagar district. Crop damage occurred in about 180 hectors of land and estimated the loss at about Rs 3.5 crores. Agriculture department teams are enumerating the crop loss, he added.
