Jagadgirigutta: The streets of Srinivas Nagar in Jagadgirigutta have been in bad condition for the past few years. The residents here complain that the roads are so worse that they have become unusable. The heaps of sand, broken bricks and cement walls on the roads make it difficulty even to walk, let alone plying of vehicles. Another reason for the damaged roads here is the lack of storm water drains.
During rainy seasons, the water-logged roads become incubators for mosquitoes. T Rakesh, a local resident, said that he complained on the issue to the concerned officials many times in vain. The locals have been facing a lot of problems to travel on the lane since months, he said. A flurry of complaints about the issue has been lodged for the past few years with the municipality, but no steps have been initiated so far.
