Bank of Baroda to take part in Swachh drive

Musheerabad: Bank of Baroda will voluntarily participate in the Swatch Bharat Abhiyan programme following a call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said bank’s Regional Deputy General Manager Kumar Upadhyay here on Wednesday.Addressing the gathering at the Swachh Bharat programme organised near the Bathukamma Ghat area of Tank Bund, he advised people to keep their surroundings clean so as to maintain good health, as healthy living would lead to a proper living.
Upadhyay underlined the importance of maintenance of cleanliness in the city, particularly around the Tank Bund area as many tourists visit the spot. “Only when such clean and green surroundings are maintained, the city would get a good name. Consequently, the entire country could be turned into Swatchh Bharat,” he observed.
Later, the bank employees formed a human chain around the tank near the Bathukamma Ghat holding flexes and placards of Swachh Bharat/Swachh Samrakshan Abhiyan in an attempt to create public awareness on the programme. Among those who participated in the programme were Balaji, Anirud Prasad, Bhavya, Prasanna, Lilly, Jyothi.
