Jubilee Hills: Doing away with the earlier instructions in a circular, the Haj Committee on Wednesday asked the Haj aspirants to not to get confused with the medical certifications, as Chest X-ray report and Blood (CBP) are no longer mandatory. Telangana State Haj Committee Chairman Mohammed Masiullah Khan, Special Officer Prof SA Shukoor announced that the Haj pilgrims need to submit only Medical Screening and Fitness Certificate from registered medical practitioner MBBS or the Government Doctor as per the practice.

As per Haj Committee of India circular-9 issued on the January 15, in which Haj pilgrims were instructed to submit Chest X-ray and blood (CBP) reports along with medical screening and fitness certificate.

"Following scores of representation received from different quarters that the pilgrims are facing difficulties in obtaining chest X-ray report and blood (CBP) report respectively, the Haj Committee of India at its meeting decided that it was not mandatory to submit chest X-ray report and blood (CBP) report and pilgrims may submit medical screening and fitness certificate from registered medical practitioner (MBBS)/government doctor as per past practice," said the officials.
