Bommalaramaram (Yadadri-Bhongir): Former Government Whip and Aler MLA Gongidi Sunitha described Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao as poor people’s caretaker and added that the State government has been introducing so many welfare schemes for the poor in the State.

On Wednesday, she participated as chief guest to the Kalyana Lakshmi cheque distribution programme held at MPDO office in Bommalaramaram.
Speaking on the occasion, she informed that governments of neighbouring States were also appreciating the schemes of Telangana government and trying to implement in their States too. Almost all sections of the people of the society are getting benefitted by one scheme or the another envisaged by the KCR government.

She listed out various welfare schemes being implemented by the State government which include financial aid to poor girls at the time of their marriage under Shaadi Mubarak and Kalyana Lakshmi, medical treatment under Arogyasri, nutritious food to pregnant women, lactating mothers and adolescent girls through Anganwadis, medical checkups from day one of conceiving till delivery, KCR Kits for both mother and new born babies and many more.

Mandal Parishad president Tirupati Reddy, ZPTC Jayamma, MPDO Saritha, Tahsildar Jayamma, vice-MPP Srisailam, MRO Vijayasimha Reddy, MPTC Srinivas, Sarpanches Mahesh, Beerappa and beneficiaries took part in the programme.
