ECIL: Condemning physical attack on girl student for spurning love proposal, Medchal district All India Youth Federation and All India Students Federation jointly took out a rally from GHMC office to the ECIL Cross Roads on Thursday demanding stringent action against the offender. A girl student named Madhulika was attacked with sickle by a youth named Bharath for spurning his love proposals at Kacheguda on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, president of Medchal district AIYF T Sathyaprasad said that physical attacks on girls have increased in recent times and urged parents to monitor their children to prevent such incidents in future. Parents should be aware of what their children were doing at colleges, he added. Sathyaprasad advised the students to maintain friendly relations with their classmates and not to form any love relations during their studies.
He appealed the State government to expedite the investigation and take stringent action against the offender. He demanded the government to conduct counseling sessions to raise awareness among youth to prevent such incidents in future.AIYF leaders Gopi, Ahmed, Vivek, president of AISF ECIL Mahesh, Gopal, Vineetha, Soumya, Swathi, Hansika, Mahalakshmi and others participated in the rally.
