Bahadurpura: More than 1 lakh women and men visited the concluding day of ‘Sunni Dawat-e-Islami’ Ijtema (religious gathering) at Eid Gah Mir Aalam, near Zoo Park, in Bahadurpura. The Ijtema began first for ladies on Saturday and the second sitting for men on Sunday. Experts, Islamic Ulemas, scholars, orators, muftis and professors from different part of India addressed the gathering.
“The main aim of Ijtema is to stop the unlawful acts, to make people aware of Islamic teachings, to propagate true teachings of Prophet Mohammed and encourage people to learn The Holy Qur'an (Islamic Book) and Sunnah,” said Maulana Hassaan Farooqui President, Sunni Dawat-e-Islami, Telangana & Andhra Pradesh.
The topics covered during the two-day gathering were introduction of Islam, popularization of Prophet Mohammed among non-Muslims, widen love and humanity towards building a great nation India, and making people aware that Islam is the religion of peace. On Saturday, the meet started with the speech of Ladies Islamic Scholar Muftia Atiya Fatima, Principal Kuliyatul Banaat, and other local and national Islamic scholars, Aalimat and Muftiaa'at addressed the gathering.
On Sunday, Ijtema was started by Maulana Syed Shah Ismail Peer Quadri Sharfi Tahiri (Kurnool). Hafiz-o-Qaari Maulana Shakir Ali Noorie (Ameer e Sunni Dawate Islami), Allama Prof Dr Mustafa Sharif (Arabic Dept Osmania University), Maulana Dr Syed Aleem Ashraf Jaisi (Arabic Department Maulana Azaad University), Mufti Syed Ziauddin Naqshbandi (Shaik ul Fiqh, Jamia Nizamia), Maulana Qari Rizwan Khan Quadri (Mumbai), Maulana Dr Hafiz Ehsan Al Hamoomi Sahab and others addressed the gathering.
