Annavaram : As the country's future lies in the hands of youth, they should keep away from cricket betting, internet, Facebook and fast-food, CBI joint director, VV Lakshminarayana said here on Sunday. He visited Sri Veera Venkata Satyannarayana Swamy temple here along with his family and offered prayers.

Veeranki Jagannadham, in-charge executive officer and temple priests accorded him a warm welcome. Speaking to the reporters, Lakshmi Narayana called upon youth to donate blood on every birthday after attaining age of 18 years. He said that the Vision 2020 dreamed by the former President of India lies in the hands of youth.

He appealed to the youth to plant a sapling to protect environment. He observed that the incidence of youth harassing parents was increasing and called upon youth to respect parents as well as teacher. He said that he has received transfer orders and was going back to Maharashtra. He said that the cases taken up by him would not be diluted even after his transfer. He mentioned that he will run an educational institution after retirement.
