Dr KNR receives 'Global Achievers' award

Visakhapatnam: Noted social worker and construction contractor Dr Karanamreddy Narasinga Rao, popularly known as Dr KNR, was presented the prestigious 'Global Achievers' award in recognition of his social service by the Indian Achievers Forum at the Global Achievers' Award Convocation held in Dubai, UAE, as part of the Sixth International Achievers' Summit on March 16. The award was instituted by the Indian Achievers Forum for which Mr Sunil Shastry, former MP and son of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastry, is the Patron. The award was given away by the Minister for External Affairs and ex-Ambassador of UAE and UK, Sheik Abdullah Bin Jayed Al-Nahayem. Dr KNR also attended the Sixth International Achievers' Summit on Global Business Opportunities to explore exciting business opportunities in the Gulf. These awards are being given to honour outstanding companies and personalities for taking lead in delivering quality services and accomplishing outstanding achievements. Chief Patron Sunil Shastry, second richest person in Dubai and top businessman BR Shetty and fashion designer Ms Shahnaz Hussain congratulated Dr KNR for securing the honour. Earlier, Dr KNR had received 'Mother Teresa Centenary Award' from Health Care International, Hyderabad, on August 26, 2010, 'Best Young Businessman Award' in 2009 from Telugu Daily Visakha Samacharam, 'Visakha Ratna Award' in 2011 from Visakha Ratna magazine, 'Bapuji Puraskar' in 2011 from the Chief Minister and a Doctorate Degree in Social Work in 2011 from a university in Sri Lanka.
