put2 Visakhapatnam: A public meeting as part of the Sata Jayanti celebrations of Comrade Putchalapalli Sundaraiah would be organised on a grand scale on March 24 at 4 pm at YMCA on Rama Krishna Beach. Communist Party of India (Marxist) State secretary BV Raghavulu and State executive committee member Ch. Narasing Rao would attend. Mr Narasing Rao told reporters here on Wednesday that a huge rally would be taken out from RK Beach to the meeting venue, which would culminate into a public meeting at the YMCA. Paying rich tributes to Sundaraiah, Mr Narasing Rao said that he was a great personality who believed that socialism was the only way to make poor and common people live in peace. He said the leader had fought against the Nizam and continued the struggle with the slogan that land belonged to those who ploughed it. Stating that he was the first Opposition leader from the party who aired public voice in Parliament, Mr Narasing Rao said that Sundariah had established the CPM when the Communist struggle began derailing. A seminar on 'Development of north Andhra and problems' would be held at the AU Platinum Jubilee Hall on March 25 in which Prof. Gopinath Reddy, Prof. Sivaji Rao, Prof. RV Rama Rao, S Satyanarayana, Prof. M Prasada Rao, Prof. Nalini and Dr K Padma would participate.A Party Greater Visakha City secretary Dr B Ganga Rao was present.
