Women safety is our responsibility: She Team
With the slogan ‘Women safety is our responsibility’, the She Team of Sircilla district conducted an awareness programme for women and girl students here on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, She Team in-charge DSP K Narahari said that they were able to keep a check on those, who misbehave with women and girls across the district with the good work of She Team members.
Sircilla: With the slogan ‘Women safety is our responsibility’, the She Team of Sircilla district conducted an awareness programme for women and girl students here on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, She Team in-charge DSP K Narahari said that they were able to keep a check on those, who misbehave with women and girls across the district with the good work of She Team members.
Counselling was given to nearly 1,000 eve teasers during the past few days. She Team members will be in civil dress in public places and will take photos and shoot videos of those, who misbehave with women and take them into custody with evidences. Later counseling will be given to them in the presence of their elders, the in-charge DSP said.
If the eve teasers continue harassing women, then cases will be filed against them along with taking necessary action, he warned. The women, who wants to complain against such persons, should dial 100 or to the mobile - 8331940670 or can drop a complaint in complaint box, kept at main centres all over the district. The details of the complainers will be kept secret.
District Joint Collector Yasmin Basha attended as the chief guest to the programme. DWO Saraswathi, DSP N Venkata Raman, Circle Inspector CH Srinivas, She Team SI Murali, ASI Sona, constable Shravani, Hamsavahini College Principal Venkanna, Sai Sri College Principal Jagan Goud, Vikas Degree College Principal Srinivas and Mahanti Degree College Principal Bhumesh were present along with 1,000 girl students.
