Thousands take part in Samaikyandhra protests

Kovvur (West Godavari): Kovvur JAC organised ‘Ugra Godavari Laksha Jana Gala Garjana’ programme at Water Tank centre in the town on Wednesday. A large number of students and integrationists turned up for the event. Holy Angels school students held demonstrations and participated in various cultural programmes in support of united state. Vadapalli Suma school students dressed as Alluri, Gandhi, Bharatmata were a cynosure of all eyes. People voluntarily observed bandh. JAC leader Radhakrishna, AMC chairman Veera Raghavulu and other participated in the programme.

Tanuku: Thousands of people on Wednesday participated in the ‘Laksha Jana Gala Gosha’ programme at Tanuku. The programme is held under the aegis of West Godavari Multiple System Operators (MSOs) also known as cable operators. MSOs from all parts of the district, JAC members, APNGOs, APSRTC staff, advocates, farmers, women and others attended the programme. MSOs leader Chitturi Krishna Kannaiah alleged that the State is being divided to make Rahul Gandhi Prime Minister. He said that the peaceful movement would be continued and added that any effort to divide the Telugu people would not be acceptable to them. Gajal Srinivas attended the programme as Chief Guest. His slogans and songs in support of united state enthralled the audience.
