The four-month training commenced from January 28 and will conclude on June 9. Post-training she will be working as Junior Assistant in the fire service. Taniya stated that she can’t wait until June 9 when she graduates and is given the first posting at an airport.

Taniya is indeed thankful to AAI for giving her such an opportunity which could go a long way in encouraging several others to join this dynamic profession.

“I had a desire to do something different, but didn’t know what till this opportunity came by,” expressed Taniya. She wasn’t aware of where she was headed till she bumped upon the AAI advertisement that changed the course of her life.

Taniya has an MSc in Botany and is a trained dancer in Bharatnatyam and Kathak. She is aware of the challenges that the job entails and is very much excited about the job. Tanya said that the biggest thrill in the job is the lightning speed with which the team has to head into a crisis.

About her future, Taniya said that she wants to excel in this field and wants to motivate more women to participate. She has always been an out-of-the-box thinker and her profession demands her service to humankind. She wishes to explore several more possibilities and opportunities with AAI.

The Kolkata girl wants to be an inspiration for the women of our country. To them, she'd say, "Be confident and try something new, because you never know what is waiting for you."
