Understanding the importance of looking presentable and well groomed at all the times is important. Follow these tips, till they become second nature, as it will not only make you feel good but will also boost your confidence:

  • Take care of your skin: Healthy skin is a woman’s most priced asset. Shower daily & use a moisturiser soon after the shower. And remember to use a suncreen on the face & neck areas. Also, an exfoliating body scrub should be used weekly to get rid of the dead cells and to keep looking fresh.
  • Look after your Hair: Get your hair trimmed regularly to avoid split ends. Time to time, indulge in a new hairstyle as it can do wonders for your look. Avoid gels, hair sprays & too much colour, as they are harmful for your hair. For working women, updos and ponytails work best as they keep the hair off one’s face.
  • Learn the art of nail care: Clip your nails regularly and do remember to file them as well. Wearing bright shades calls for higher maintenance as they start chipping in a day or two and makes your hands look unsightly. You can wear opt to clear nailpaint, if you don't have sufficient time for nailpaint upkeep. After washing your hands each time, remember to moisturise your hands, especially the cuticle areas to avoid drying and to looking well groomed.
  • Say no to odour : Keep your teeth clean and visit your dentist regularly to keep bad breath at bay. A mint can freshen your breath, if you feel you have bad breath. Similarly, body odour could be the biggest turn off. Shower daily and use a mild deodorant.
  • Get rid of unwanted hair: To look presentable, remove the unwanted hair off your upper lip, hands, legs, and underarms regularly. Also, shape your eye brows when required and remove/lighten the excess facial hair.
  • Appropriate makeup: As per research, make-up adds to your look by heaps and bounds. You can opt for a light compact or foundation that suits your complexion. A hint of gloss and Kajal will do just fine, if you are not much into makeup. Nothing like some mascara to open up those eyes! Most importantly, always remove your make up before going to bed.
  • Wear appropriate clothes: Wear attractive clothing based on your body shape & the occasion. Your clothes should be creaseless, stain free & most importantly, well fitted.
  • Accessorise right: Coordinate your bag, belt, watch and jewelry with what you wear. The size of these accessories should also be in harmony with your body size & built.
  • Right footwear: Remember, your shoes can make or break your look. You can opt to wear trendy flat footwear or heels, depending upon the occasion.
  • Exercise regularly: Last but not the least, exercise helps you to remain fit & fabulous. And, if you have a fit body, you will look good in everything you wear.
