JobsForHer, an online connecting portal to accelerate women’s careers, hosted India’s biggest B2B conference for companies committed to increasing women’s participation in the Indian workforce. The event was held at Bangalore recently. It was convened to accelerate recruitment, retention, and promotion of women in the Indian workplace.

The event brought together a diverse group of key stakeholders like HR Leaders, D&I and Talent Acquisition Heads, Employer Branding Leaders as well as Business Heads, CEO’s and senior women leaders, who took a pledge to take concrete steps to accelerate gender parity, to help women achieve their potential, and called for gender-balanced leadership by developing more inclusive and flexible workplaces.

The keynote speaker addresses at the Conference, by Pankajam Sridevi, group general manager, operations & services, ANZ and Vani Kola, MD, Kalaari Capital, focused on investing in the power of women and imagining a future where people, who build companies mirror the people and societies for whom they build it with the purpose of recognising and overcoming unconscious biases.

A panel of CEOs, human resource and diversity & inclusion leaders convened for leadership insights on championing diversity and promoting inclusion and best practices for recruitment, development and advancement of women in the workplace.

Some of the panelists were Navneet Kapoor, Chief Transformation Officer, AP Moller- Maersk; MR Srinivas Prasad, CEO-Philips Innovation Campus Philips; Alok Nanda, CEO-India Technology Centre & CTO- South Asia, GE; Shveta Verma, Chief of Staff- Global D&I, Leader Global Human Capital and India D&I, PwC; Saraswathi Ramachandra, Associate Development Director, DanskeIT and Rekha Nair, VP, Talent Management, Capgemini.

This year, JobsForHer also launched DivHERsity Awards which recognised exceptional work done by companies to accelerate female participation and performance in the Indian workforce.
