telugu schoolMadapati Hanumantha Rao Girls High School, is the first Telugu school established by freedom fighters Madapati Hanumantha Rao, Raja Bahadhur Venkat Ram Reddy and Ahalya Bhaim in the times of Nizami rule. During those times Telugu schools were not accepted by the Nizam.

Now, this historical school with a strength of 950 students and 29 teachers has been slowly going into the private hands. Inside the school area, the government has given permission for a private school to function and this private school is forcing Madapati Hanumantha Rao Girls High School in Narayanaguda, Hyderabad, students to join them.

The government, instead of providing more facilities to the school, is encouraging the private school to function better. The school needs some more teachers and other facilities from the government but, instead of extending help, they are showing lack of interest.

Andhra Pradesh Balala Hakkula Sangham is demands the government to not close this historical Telugu school. If the government doesn't react on this, the association is prepared to take legal action against them.
