Hyderabad: Sister Nivedita School, Ameerpet, Hyderabad celebrated Children’s Day, the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in the school on the Saturday.
It was the teachers turn to take up the morning assembly for the students to make them feel special. The school was decorated with colorful ribbons and balloons. The program was designed by the teachers with a lot of cultural and fun activities.
The program began with the morning thought news and tributes to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru by the Hindi Faculty, followed by the music teachers conquering the stage and captivating the hearts of the students.
Their powerful and melodious renditions with inspiring lyrics and peppy beats lifted the spirits of the children and filled them with hope. An artistic display of gratitude was presented by Anjana, Hindi Teacher to the Indian soldiers through her soliloquy. Children were invited to make portraits of teachers in two minutes to display their innate talents.
How could one forget the class room scene on this very special day? Teachers mimicked some of the students who keep them on their toes.
The Principal of the School Jayanthi Venkataraman, in her address expressed her joy to have chased and chosen her passion to be her profession that keeps her directly associated with children.
She congratulated the children and reminded the teachers to renew and rejuvenate the commitment that they have towards the welfare of children, for, the foundation of knowledge, skills and attitude are laid in this impressionable period of childhood.
The program concluded with the principal, teachers and students singing “Hum Honge Kamiyab” in different languages.
