Kendriya Vidyalaya Tirumalagiri (KVT) celebrated its annual sports day on Thursday. Brigadier Manish Upadhyay, Deputy GOC, TASA and Chairman of Vidyalaya Management Committee, KVT was the chief guest. The chief guest hoisted the national flag and declared the sports meet open. 

Hyderabad: Kendriya Vidyalaya Tirumalagiri (KVT) celebrated its annual sports day on Thursday. Brigadier Manish Upadhyay, Deputy GOC, TASA and Chairman of Vidyalaya Management Committee, KVT was the chief guest. The chief guest hoisted the national flag and declared the sports meet open.

Speaking on the occasion, Brigadier Upadhyay complemented the school for its endeavoring growth and achievements and emphasised importance of sports and games in enhancing the physical and mental health of the students.

“Sports and games help the students acquire concentration, mutual cooperation, respect for opponents and leadership qualities” he added. Irrespective of the outcome, he exhorted students to learn to accept winning or losing which is part of the game.

The scintillating marching contingent led by the house captains kept the spectators awestruck as the students marched with perfect synchronisation in their house colours along with the AOC band. The school principal G Rama Rao presented the annual report highlighting the achievements of the school and students.

Running races for the primary and secondary students were conducted in various categories on the occasion and the chief guest distributed the prizes to the winners.

The students enthralled the audience by performing welcome drill, mass PT, Yoga display and Bhangra dance. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr. K Krishna Reddy.
