Hyderabad: Six TMREIS shooters excel in rifle shooting tournament

Hyderabad: Six TMREIS shooters including three boys and three girls secured medals in the Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society-organised rifle shooting tournament for students at Sports Authority of Telangana State (SATS) Shooting Range HCU, Gachibowli on Monday.

21 students of TMR Schools from various districts participated in the shooting championship under categories of 10 meters, 25 meters, and 50 meters range.

Based on the performance, 11 students were selected for 11th South Zone Shooting Championship in Rifle and Pistol (NR) proposed to be held at District Rifle Association of Idukki, Kerela. The selected students will be groomed to represent in national and international championships.

The achievement of the six students adds one more chapter in the success stories of TMREIS, a press release said.

B Shafiullah IFS, Secretary Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society said that as part of the rigorous efforts of TMREIS for bringing all out development in students of TMREIS by excelling in Education and the field of sports, six students of TMR Schools secured two gold, four silver and two bronze medals in the rifle shooting tournament.

B Shafiullah also urged the students to earn good name for themselves, for TMREIS and for the Telangana State and to become role model for TMR Students to follow their footsteps.
