Sportspersons to be honoured on June 2
On the occasion of Telangana formation Day on 2nd June, the Sports Authority of Telangana
Hyderabad: On the occasion of Telangana formation Day on 2nd June, the Sports Authority of Telangana (SATS) will be felicitating all the sportspersons who have brought laurels to the State by winning medals at national and international levels, a press release said on Saturday.
This will be the first time ever felicitation program to be held after the formation of the State.
"Our Telangana State Government is always there to encourage and support the talented sportspersons to build up their talents to national and international levels, said SATS Chairman Allipuram Venkateshwar Reddy.
Hence all the Associations related to the Olympic Games and senior sports persons and coaches should get involved to make this program successful, he added.
All the district-level champions will also be felicitated in their respective districts in the presence of Collectors, M.L.A's and other District Officials.
V.Srinivas Goud (Minister Of Sports ), Partha Saradhi (Principal Secretary), SATS VC & MD Sri Dinakar Babu and several Ministers are expected to grace the occasion scheduled to be held at L.B Stadium on June 2.
