Due to the heavy inflow of floodwater into the project, around 10 crest gates of Nagarjuna Sagar have been opened today releasing 1,50,130 cusecs of water to the downstream.
The Srisailam project has been receiving 1,97,213 cusecs of rainwater from the right and left canals of the dam. The current water level in the reservoir is 311.74 tmc as against the total water level 312 tmc.
