Mancherial: The number of corona positive cases in the district had increased with the return of migrant labourers from other areas.
The district had registered only one positive case after the lockdown was imposed. But 10 positive cases were registered on Friday when the officials conducted tests to the migrant labourers coming from Maharashtra, where corona cases are on rise.
The officials sent three family members of a corona positive patient to Bellampalli quarantine centre while medical and health staff conducted survey in 26 houses in the area where this corona positive case lives and stamped 26 persons.
They told another 46 persons to stay in home quarantine. All the shops in that locality were closed and ordered people not to come out of their houses. On Thursday, another person, who came from Pune, Maharashtra, to Hajipur, was sent for quarantine.
40 persons of Itikyala village of Luxettipet mandal, who came in contact with the Mumbai returnee, were told to stay in home quarantine while another five persons, who came from Mumbai to Tilak Nagar, Hamaliwada were sent to quarantine centre and disinfectant was sprayed in the areas.
