297 Panchayat Secretaries get appointment letters
As the elections are over, the administration has got down to the work concerning the district. On Friday, District Panchayat Officer(DPO) Rammohan Raju handed over appointment letters to 297 newly selected Junior Panchayat Secretaries at an event organised at the Collectorate.
Suryapet: As the elections are over, the administration has got down to the work concerning the district. On Friday, District Panchayat Officer(DPO) Rammohan Raju handed over appointment letters to 297 newly selected Junior Panchayat Secretaries at an event organised at the Collectorate.
According to the DPO, as many as 342 Junior Panchayath Secretary posts were sanctioned to the district. Of the 342 aspirants, 22 did not attend the interview. On the directions of Collector Amoy Kumar, appointment letters were given to 297 selected Junior Panchayat Secretaries.
Speaking on the occasion, the DPO said the appointment letters of 23 selected members under PWD, Sports and Ex-Servicemen categories would be given after the inspection by the respective departments.
He advised the panchayat secretaries to put in all efforts to address the issues of villages from time to time. Maintain cordial relations with the village sarpanches , people's representatives and leaders in the process of development of the villages, he advised.
Overcoming all sorts of pressure, it is duty of the junior panchayat secretaries make available the benefits of the government schemes to the eligible, he emphasised.
He advised them to follow the rules and regulations of the department while discharging duties. He suggested them to get special identity by rendering valuable services to the villagers.
In this programme, District Industries Officer Babu Rao, BC Welfare Officer Jyothi , Collectorate AO Pradumna, District Intermediate Officer Krishnaiah , District Audit Officer Venkteshwar Rao and others were present.
