On Thursday, along with District Collector Amoy Kumar, he participated in allocation of 2 BHK houses to beneficiaries constructed at Gumpula Tirumalagiri village of Chivemla mandal in the district through lottery system held at district collectorate.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said a model colony was constructed at Gumpula Tirumalagiri with 80 double bedroom houses.
Stating that a few pending works at the site could not be completed due to continuous elections, he ordered the officials concerned to finish the pending road works with the already sanctioned amount of Rs 90 crore.
He advised people to not to get cheated by middlemen, and stated that photos of beneficiaries would be pasted on house pattas from here onwards.
He assured the beneficiaries that all pending works at Gumpula Tirumalagiri would be done on war footing and mass housewarming programme would be conducted on June 28. Joint Collector Sanjeeva Reddy, Assistant Collector Uday Kumar, Tungathurthy MLA Gadhari Kishore Kumar, DRO Chandraiah, District Library Chairman Srinivas Goud, RDO Mohan Rao and beneficiaries participated in the programme.
