A four-month-old baby died after being treated by the doctors at a private hospital in Sattupalli on Thursday. Family members of the girl staged a protest alleging overdose of medicine that claimed the baby's life.

They demanded action against the management of the New Star hospital. The police were informed who reached the hospital and are trying to bring the situation under control. However, the doctors denied the allegations.

Based on the complaint lodged by the girl's parents, the police registered a case.

On February 11, 2018 - a 14-month-old baby died after an alleged overdose of medicines prescribed by a private doctor in Ghatkesar. The baby identified as M Veekshitha was taken to the doctor after she fell sick and began suffering from chronic fever. On learning the death of the girl, the doctor, B Venkatesh went absconding.

However, the police nabbed him and registered a case under relevant sections of IPC.
