Mattampally (Suryapet): Police under the aegis of Kodad DSP Sudharshan Reddy has conducted a cordon and search operations at Gurrambodu Thanda of Mattampally mandal of Huzurnagar constituency in the district on Friday evening. Police seized 59 bikes as the owners failed to produce valid vehicle registration papers .
Later speaking to villagers, the DSP said bikes would be handed over to the vehicle owners after the production of valid registration papers to them. He urged the villagers to extend their cooperation for re-polling for parishad election to be carried out in the village on Saturday. Kodad and Huzurnagar CIs Ravi and Bhaskar, four SIs, five ASIs and 30 police took part in the cordon and search operation.
