Hyderabad: The Telangana Government on Wednesday celebrated the 5th anniversary of TS-iPass (Telangana State Industrial Project Approval and Self Certification System) in Hyderabad.

Speaking on the occasion, Telangana IT & Industries Minister, K T Rama Rao said: "In the past five years, TS-iPass has succeeded in bringing investments of Rs 1.73 lakh crores to the State, which will create employment opportunities of up to 13.02 lakh."

"We are committed to industrialisation in Telangana. With the support and guidance of investors of this State, we will continue to bring in new reforms which will reduce corruption, improve ease of doing business and will lower the cost of doing business here," he added.

On the amount of land acquired by the government for developing industrialisation in the State, he said, "While the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation had acquired 30,000 acre of land, the TS government has 1.5 lakh acre of land bank. But we make sure that only serious industrialists get to function in the State, hence, 1,200 acre of land has been taken back from the non-serious industrialists."
