795 candidates file nominations for 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana

Hyderabad: A total of 795 candidates have filed their nomination papers for 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in Telangana State.

A totaHyderabadl of 570 nominations were filed on the last day on Monday.

Nizamabad constituency is on top with 245 nominations followed by Secunderabad - 67; Nalgonda - 48; Bhongir - 45; Malkajgiri - 43; Khammam - 38; Peddapalli (SC) - 35; Mahabubnagar - 34; Hyderabad - 32; Chevella - 32; Nagarkurnool (SC) - 32; Warangal (SC) - 29; Karimnagar - 26; Mahabubabad (ST) - 26; Zahirabad - 22; Adilabad (ST) - 21 and Medak - 20.

While just 7 nominations were filed on Day 1 on March 18; 9 were filed on March 19; 42 on March 20; 167 on March 22 and 570 nominations were filed on the last day today.
