The boy, Rehan, hails from Kuppanagar of Jharasangam mandal. He had a viral fever three years back. His father Hyder, mother Shaheeda Begum, the boy and younger sister Risha were going on a bike to visit a doctor, when the tyre burst and they met with an accident Their two-wheeler rammed into the divider after losing control.

One-year-old Risha was killed and the legs of Rehan were crushed under a lorry's tyres. Mother Shaheeda broke her legs and father was also injured. Shaheeda's surgery cost them Rs 4 lakh, which they took from others on loan. However, she got infection when the rods were removed, and another lakh was spent.

They were not in a position to afford one more Rs lakh. Unable to bear the financial disturbances, Hyder left the house and disappeared. His whereabouts are not known to the family. The helpless lady reached her 70-year-old father for help.

Aditya Foundation of Hyderabad donated artificial limbs to Rehan. However, one of them has been damaged. People who saw him trying to fix the limb with the help of glue were moved heavily. Bearing all pains behind her face, she is sending her son to schools. She was not even treated for the infection she got. She is surviving by the pension given by the State government. Now, they are at mercy of any philanthropic assistance.
