Police seized banned gutka worth Rs 50 lakhs and arrested three persons at Gudihathnoor in Adilabad district on Thursday.
Adilabad: Police seized banned gutka worth Rs 50 lakhs and arrested three persons at Gudihathnoor in Adilabad district on Thursday.
Speaking to the media at Gudihathnoor police station, Utnoor DSP B David Yesudasu said that the police patrolling team found out 150 bags of banned gutka near Rajasthan Sharma dhaba in Gudihathnoor mandal during regular checking in the early hours of Thursday. The arrested were identified as Saimulla Khan, owner of Aslam Traders, Adilabad; vehicle driver Riyaz Ahamed and dhabha hotel owner Anil Sharma. The police had seized V-1 tobacco product, 150 gunny bags and lorry and investigation is on.
Superintendent of Police Vishnu S Warrier appreciated Gudihathnoor police and assured of presenting rewards to them. Ichoda Inspector Srinivas, Gudihathnoor ASI Raheem Khan and others were present.
