Nagarkurnool: Expressing his solidarity with the paddy farmers of Ramapuram village in Kollapur mandal of Nagarkurnool district on Wednesday, All India Congress Committee secretary Sampath Kumar and former MLA from Alampur inspected the dry paddy crops of farmers in the village.

Speaking on the occasion, Sampath Kumar said that the TRS government was ignoring the plight of farmers and common people in Kollapur and other surrounding areas of erstwhile Mahbubnagar district.

"Not even a single promise made by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has been fulfilled so far. The farmers are facing huge losses due to dying crops. For paddy, a lot of water is required, but the TRS government, which is claiming to have completed old pending irrigation projects, is not providing water to farmers," said Sampath Kumar.
