BJP national president announces the decision at the State party core committee meeting held in Delhi on Sunday

Hyderabad: BJP president and Union Home Minister Amit Shah will kick-start the party membership enrolment in Telangana on July 6 at Hyderabad.

According to party sources, party State unit president K Laxman, national general secretary P Muralidhar Rao, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy, former Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya and other party senior leaders from the State attended the State BJP core Committee meeting held at the party national headquarters in Delhi on Sunday.

Party national president Amit Shah and national working president J P Nadda attended the concluding part of the core committee meeting.

During the interaction with the State leaders, Shah informed the State party leaders that he would personally attend to kick-start the party membership drive in Telangana State.

Further, he directed the State leaders to work by taking the party cadre into confidence to come to power in Telangana in 2023.

The Union Home Minister also said he would be paying personal attention in overseeing the party's functioning in Telangana.

Besides, frequent visits and participation in the public meetings, he said, "every month there will be two visits by the Union Ministers to meet people both in the rural and urban areas of Telangana," said a senior party leader.

State leaders were asked to take into a big way explaining how the State government was depriving them of the benefits of the Central schemes.
