Karimnagar: District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed on Thursday directed the officials to make all necessary arrangements for the Army Recruitment Rally that will be held from October 7 to 17 in Karimnagar.

Speaking at a review meeting with the officials concerned at the Collectorate conference hall in Karimnagar, the Collector said about 900 candidates were selected in the previous Army Recruitment Rally held in the district and got employment in the Army.

The officials were told to make all necessary arrangements like barricades, enclosers, toilets and water facility for the candidates, who will come for the Rally to be held at Ambedkar stadium in Karimnagar as more number of youth are expected to attend this time.

The Collector ordered the officials of Health department to arrange two doctors for emergency medical services along with an ambulance and necessary medicines. The officials of Revenue department were told to arrange computers, scanners, tables, chairs and staff that are required from the Collectorate office.The officials were also told to conduct an awareness programme in the colleges for the students so that maximum number of students can take part in the rally from the district.

Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed appealed the youth and students to utilise the opportunity by participating in the Army Recruitment Rally and get selected. Colonel Pavan Puri, District Revenue Officer Bikshu Nayak, Municipal Commissioner Venu Gopal, in-charge District Sports Development Officer Sidda Reddy, RDO Anand Kumar and DPRO Deputy Director P Bhaskar were present in the meeting.
