AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi appealed to the Excise Department to stop the opening of a liquor shop near a school at Langer Houz.

Responding to a memorandum submitted by the school parents to stop the opening of a liquor shop near the school, Owaisi wrote a letter to the Excise Department asking to withdraw the shop inauguration. The AIMIM chief further warned to stage a protest if the shop opening is not withdrawn.

He also added that the ministers and officials have already submitted a memorandum to the department not to set up liquor shops near schools and also to shut them.
